Ashley Yaugher, PhD is a Professional Practice Extension Assistant Professor of Health & Wellness serving Carbon and Emery Counties; focusing on the opioid epidemic our communities are facing. She is the Health Extension: Advocacy, Research, & Teaching (HEART) Initiative Program Coordinator and Team Lead. Dr. Yaugher earned her M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Texas A&M University and has a strong background in mental health and wellness. She is passionate about community outreach and collaboration in coming together to create healthier communities. Dr. Yaugher’s current research and programming efforts focus on reducing stigma related to substance use disorder treatment and recovery, increasing prevention and education efforts, and addressing other pressing public health concerns through collaborative efforts.
