His responsibilities included strategic development and implementation of health promotion and wellness for our employees, members, patients and the community at large. He serves as the Vice-Chair for Get Healthy Utah, a collaborative effort aimed at reducing obesity through improved healthy eating and active living for all Utahns. He is a committee member for HERO, Healthy Worksites Healthy Communities subgroup. Dr. Ettinger believes that culture and environment have a profound influence on the individual’s ability to adopt healthy behaviors. This requires engaged business leaders and effective community partnerships. Society is challenged with sedentary lifestyles, social isolation, health disparities and lack of community. Although complex, these social and health issues can be addressed as business leaders and community members come together and work hard toward a shared vision.
