Nephi City

Designation Year: Fall 2021

Nephi City facilitates free and low-cost ways for families to engage in healthy activities. The city plans family nights out, promotes mental health classes such as QPR trainings, and partners with local organizations to offer 5K runs and healthy food classes. To further promote healthy eating, Nephi City has a community garden and limits the marketing of unhealthy foods in stores. Safeguarding mental health is a high priority, and plans are in the works to organize a Youth Coalition to combat suicide and promote healthy lifestyles. Residents also appreciate the various opportunities for outdoor recreation in the area, including a connected trail system and a community sports program.
