Get Healthy Utah is seeking a qualified individual to work as a full-time Program Coordinator.

Principal Duties 
The Program Coordinator will:

  • Conduct outreach to stakeholders
  • Participate in coalitions and workgroups
  • Facilitate partnership meetings
  • Give presentations to professional and public audiences
  • Help assess the needs and priorities of various populations using appropriate assessment tools
  • Assist to develop, conduct, and evaluate the effectiveness of health education/health promotion programs
  • Create marketing and educational materials
  • Prepare messages for social media
  • Assist with grant report writing and review
  • Assist with other assignment and duties as needed

The Ideal Candidate
The model Program Coordinator has:

  • Education and experience in public health, health education and promotion, or a related field
  • Excellent writing skills and skills to communicate effectively, accurately, and concisely
  • Public presentation skills
  • Professional experience with social media
  • Experience collaborating with multiple partners
  • The ability to be proactive and work independently
  • The ability to meet deadlines and multitask
  • The ability to interpret and follow instructions

The model Program Coordinator has knowledge of:

  • Community organization methods
  • Community resources and services
  • Computer operations and uses, including word processing, graphics, spreadsheets, and presentation design
  • Program marketing, public relations, and media relations methods and techniques
  • Effective communication techniques including audio-visual use

Preference may be given to applicants with the above.

Requirements include

  • A bachelor’s degree
  • Highly skilled at verbal and written communication

Position Information

  • Salary Range $18 – $22 / hour (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Non-benefited position
