Director of the Office of Health Promotion and Prevention, Utah dhhs
Braden serves as the Director of the Office of Health Promotion and Prevention at the Utah Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), where he oversees chronic disease and prevention work throughout the state. Braden has worked at the Department since 2013 and has held various positions, including Program Manager for the Tobacco Prevention and Control program, where he contributed to many tobacco policy successes for Utah. Braden co-chairs the Built Here: Youth Behavioral Health Workgroup, part of the Governor's initiative to increase positive childhood experiences for youth, as well as the Prevention Consortium at DHHS. Braden previously worked as a health educator at the Southwest Utah Public Health Department and as an administrator at Intermountain Health. Braden has a degree in Biology from Utah Tech University and a Master of Public Health from Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences. Braden is passionate about helping people feel valued and improving their well-being so they can live happier and healthier lives.
