Extension Associate Professor, USU Extension Beaver County
Cindy Nelson grew up on a farm in Beaver, Utah. She graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education and a minor in Psychology. She completed her master’s degree in Educational Leadership with an Administrative Endorsement through SUU. Cindy enjoys most physical activities, going on outdoor adventures and has completed two half marathons. She loves spending time with family, especially the grandkids.
Cindy is an Extension Associate Professor in Beaver County Utah with responsibilities in Family and Consumer Sciences and 4-H. She loves the people she serves, and the variety of programs she is able to develop. Her main programming areas are health and wellness, youth leadership, and anything 4-H. Cindy is currently the director of the Utah 4-H Southern Region Ambassador program which develops youth leaders through trainings, presentation opportunities, and volunteerism. She started a Pickleball league and is a certified Tai Chi instructor.
