  • Draper features 117 miles of scenic trails and 5,000 acres of open space, the most of any city along the Wasatch Front! The wide variety of trails are well-used by residents for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, running, and dog walking. Draper also features over 40 community parks. An all-abilities playground is currently under construction at Draper City Park, and is being designed with ramps and interactive play features at heights that are easier to access from wheelchairs and other mobility devices. To earn the designation, Draper also formed a new community coalition focused on improving the health of residents. The city has made a wellness page available on their website that offers regular health information and challenges.

    2025 Redesignation:

    To be redesignated in Spring 2025, Draper City added a Farmers Market that accepts SNAP benefits to their community events lineup. They also opened an all-abilities playground called the Unity Playground at Draper Park to promote inclusive play and created the Golden Star Families Memorial Monument to honor the families of fallen soldiers. In addition, their health coalition continues to offer many community events, add to their extensive trail systems, and promote outdoor recreation.
