Oak City
- Population: 595
- Designation Year: Spring 2026
Set against the wide-open landscapes of central Utah, Oak City is a small, rural community that values connection and overall well-being. The town improved access to healthy eating by offering Create Better Health classes both in person and virtually through Utah State University Extension. Oak City also encouraged active living by hosting a 5K during its annual Oak City Days celebration, bringing residents together in a fun and active way. Oak City Days is a two-day event held in August to celebrate the founding of the town. In support of mental health, the community partnered with the Central Utah Health Department to offer suicide prevention training, helping build awareness, resilience, and support among residents.
