Washington Terrace is a welcoming community in Weber County that is committed to supporting the health and well-being of its residents. As a Healthy Utah Community, Washington Terrace has implemented a variety of strategies to enhance quality of life. The city supports local food access and self-sufficiency through the adoption of a backyard poultry ordinance. It promoted active living by offering low-cost youth recreation programs and expanding walkability in parks and throughout the city, making it easier and safer for residents to stay active. Washington Terrace also prioritized mental well-being and social connection by hosting free, family-focused events three times a year, including an Easter Egg Hunt, Movie in the Park, and Terrace Days Event. These events created opportunities for residents to come together and build a stronger sense of community.
