  • West Jordan City and its health coalition are dedicated to creating a healthy community. The city provides a variety of outdoor events including a Jordan River Fun Walk and Out of the Darkness Walk to support mental health. City employees are offered body scans to help them understand their current health status, and the police department offers mental health trainings and therapy to its officers. To ensure that all residents have access to healthy food, the city provides free senior lunches, a community produce swap, a food pantry, and also established city ordinances that allow backyard chickens.
