
Woods Cross

To promote mental health among its residents, Woods Cross started a new mental health book club which meets together virtually and in local parks. It also developed a partnership with its local Community That Care coalition and implements preventative programming designed to help parents and youth overcome behavioral challenges and substance misuse. In conjunction, medication disposal sites are located throughout the community and every resident can obtain a gun lock free of charge.

2025 Redesignation:
To be redesignated in Spring 2025, Woods Cross City purchased additional land in order to expand their community park, assisted 75 teens in participating in the Teens Lifting Teens training, and strengthened their relationship with the Communities That Care coalition and supported their social media campaigns. Woods Cross also partnered with the Utah Hockey Club to offer a street hockey league through the local elementary school.
